About MARS CITY
ZACH CRAGER & MARS CITY
Mars City was founded in 1988 by Zach Crager, a visionary entrepreneur from Southwest Houston, TX. Originally conceived in Alief, a diverse neighborhood where Zach grew up feeling unique in a world of trends, Mars City was created for those who feel unseen, misunderstood, or misplaced. Zach, who always stood out in a community that wasn’t predominantly white, knew that his path was different. He was never one to follow trends; instead, he embraced his individuality and did things his own way.
Mars City is more than just a brand — it’s a movement for leaders who carve their own paths. It's for those who are unapologetically themselves and not afraid to stand out. Whether you feel like you're constantly overlooked or that the world doesn't understand you, Mars City is a place where you can feel seen, appreciated, and at home.
The numbers "8824" represent the founding year of Mars City (1988) and its launch year (2024). The astronaut logo, a key symbol of the brand, is inspired by Zach's childhood love of space. The design features a confident astronaut with a larger head, symbolizing visibility and leadership, while the transparent visor creates a unique and bold look. The logo also reflects Mars City's mission to give a voice to those who have been overlooked.
Mars City is not just about fashion; it’s a lifestyle brand committed to giving back to underserved communities. The brand focuses on helping those who have not been seen to finally be noticed and celebrated.
Another powerful symbol of the brand is the astronaut riding a custom-built motorcycle, a nod to Zach’s personal "Magnificent Se7en" café racer. This motorcycle is an exact replica of Zach’s own ride and holds significant meaning within the Mars City story.
Mars City will offer custom clothing for men, women, and children. The first collection of custom designed clothing is set to launch in Spring 2025, featuring designs that blend bold creativity with unparalleled attention to detail.
